Obesity is a growing issue around the world, and brings with it many secondary health concerns such as diabetes and heart disease. With soaring healthcare costs, obesity is also becoming a huge societal burden.

It is estimated that between 60% and 70% of sugar comes through processed foods and beverages. Many of those processed foods and beverages are for indulgence or snacking, and tend to be consumed frequently, causing even higher levels of calorie consumption.
